The Great Lakes Section

Great Lakes Section, IFTIn order to provide local affiliations for IFT members, there are 56 sections of our membership—something similar to a region or area chapter. Our Great Lakes Section was chartered in 1945. Members of the industry include companies such as the Kellogg Company, H & W Ingredients, and Elite Spice, and our student membership draws largely, but not exclusively, from Michigan State University's Food Science and Human Nutrition Department.

The section meets a minimum of three times a year, including fall and spring section meetings, our Awards Banquet, Supplier's Night, and for our annual Great Lakes Section Golf Outing.
