IFT members honor the deserving individuals and teams that advance food science and technology and highlight the many ways our field makes a real difference. IFT will announce here when they begin accepting nominations for the 2010 award year.
Achievement Awards recognize individuals and teams for remarkable contributions in research, applications, and service and are designed for our colleagues in industry, academia, and government.
The Marcel Loncin Research Prize provides research funding to an outstanding IFT member or nonmember scientist or engineer conducting basic chemistry/physics/engineering research applied to food processing and improvement of food quality.
Election as an IFT Fellow is a unique professional distinction conferred for outstanding and extraordinary contributions in the field of food science and technology.
Deadline to submit an Achievement Award or Marcel Loncin Research Prize nomination is typically December 1, and the deadline for Fellow nominations is February 1.
Students and leaders are recognized at the Great Lakes Section IFT Awards & Student Recognition Dinner, (2010 details to be announced).
The Dinner, Recognition Ceremonies, and a brief meeting will follow the tour.
